TREASURE it!  This ring (and I have a few others like it) belonged to a HIGH LAMA (Buddhist / Monk) in Tibet. This old Lama led a bachogwa monestary (one of high scholar), that performed many unorthodox (& witnessed in history) practices.  One of the things they were most noted for was the ability to move huge boulders with their chanting & singing……scientists refer to it as SOUND LEVITATION.  The monestary is also known for it’s extreme astral plane achievements as well as body levitations & travel.  This piece has a wonderful design of the mantra OM.  It is a brassy gold tone metal with lots of detail work & copper accenting.  The size is adjustable.  The word OM is written in Sanskrit as “Aum”.  It has many meanings like the sound the Universe made when it was created or the sound the Goddess made when she created the Universe.  Some people take this literally and some metaphorically.  Also, the phonetics of the sound Aum starts in the bottom of the vocal cavity, then to the glottis, then to the mouth cavity and ultimately disappear into the silent void.  This process symbolizes the creation, the maintainence, the destruction of all things and the return to where they came from.  As a Mantra, repeating the word “OM” is a great way to slow down the breathing, calms the nervous system, and gives the glands and organs of the body a vibrational massage……..Ommmmmm 😉 It is HIGHLY ENERGIZED.
